WP6 – Exploitation

WP Leader: AIRBUS Operations GmbH (A-D)

WP6 aims at exploring the full benefits derived in the technical WPs, i.e., WP2-WP5. The work performed in the dedicated tasks will be motivated by implementing a certain physical phenomenon or extending the capabilities. This will be done using problems/ models that are directly linked to the need of enabling validation and analysis of the results. In some cases this might be simplified, while in others the solution will clearly be an R&D prototype.

Apart from direct technical exploitation, WP6 will also deliver models for technical work in WP2-WP4 and thus provide input. The main motivation for treating these points within the field of exploitation is that the generation of structural models can be a very time-consuming process. The underlying idea therefore is to make sure that this process is developed, from the very beginning, with a strong focus on industrialisation and a strong link to industrial needs. Since SARAH is targeted to enable tools and methods that allow calculating more accurate loads to improve aircraft and helicopter safety, it is an important step that SARAH does not stop at developing methods and deriving answers in terms of guidelines for selected problems but also makes sure that the full benefits of the project can be exploited.

The followings points will be addressed within WP6:

  • model delivery of necessary granularity
  • industrialisation of results achieved in technical work-packages
  • discussion and approach to further ditching application
